The threat of legal battles can be serious business, but you can always bank on the internet to brighten things up. Publisher Devolver Digital, the indie house behind Hotline Miami and the recent Shadow Warrior remake, has taken to Twitter to poke some fun at King Games’ ridiculous trademark on the word ‘Candy’.
“All of our games with “candy” in the title have been canceled.”, Devolver Digital tweeted this afternoon, causing their like-minded fans to join in with the fun.

The situation is quite ridiculous, so it’s nice to see some humour coming into the fold so quickly to lighten the mood. The mood will still be dark for indie devs on the iOS and Android stores though, as King are currently threatening them with legal action if they do not take their games offline.
