Question by Blatantly true: Is there any new 2013 pc adventure game without all the blood splatter?
Suspense, good graphics, not a long slow story where you have to wait till narration makes you conk out?

Depends on where you draw the line on good graphics. Lately I’ve been a big fan of the Deponia series (latest one was released November 2012). The graphics are 2D, but also HD. Ittle Dew also recently caught my eye. Its graphics are similarly 2D, but whereas Deponia is a point-and-click game, Ittle Dew is so much like the 2D Zelda games that is funny, and that’s exactly what the game aims for as it’s a parody. But I’m afraid clean, recent, graphically demanding adventure games are in short supply on PCs for the moment.

Red dead redemption (very good online and offline
Fallout New Vegas-(amazing, one of my favorite games of all times)
Heavy Rain- ( very good story, but no multiplayer)

Ps. the beggining of heavy rain can be boring…..i mean very boring. but it is to help start up the story.
the story really becomes amazing in the middle, and there are so many different endings and missions depending on the choices you make. so if you can get past the boring beggining, the game becomes amazing.

Question by snuty: What is a the best adventure game for ps3 that suits me?
I want a good adventure game for ps3 that the whole game doesn’t involve shooting with a gun or fighting with a sword. I also want it to be rated Teen or Everyone. Or maybe a game somewhat like Super Smash Bros. because I LOVE that game, or maybe something like Animal Crossing. Just please list as many games you can think of. Thank you.

Rovio, the developer who brought us the world famous Angry Birds, is today launching its next iOS and Android game – Tiny Thief. Only this time they’re playing publisher, rather than developer.

Created by 5 Ants, Tiny Thief is an adventure-puzzler centred around stealth as you try to escape the authorities. A simple idea, but from the trailer the ways you remain unseen are imaginative. It just looks ridiculously cute and fun to play.

Phoenix Online Studios’ point-and-click adventure game, Cognition: an Erica Reed Thriller, has been quickly accelerating on Steams’ Greenlight system. Being one of the first games submitted to Greenlight when it was first launched, it has risen to the top 70 extremely quickly.

Cognition: an Erica Reed Thriller comes from the critically acclaimed developer of “The Silver Lining” and promises an engrossing storyline with an intense atmosphere. The adventure follows the story of a Boston based FBI agent called Erica Reed, who is haunted by an unsolved case of the serial killer who murdered her brother.

Using her precognition abilities, players will be able to see the past of any object she touches, piece together the clues based on the history and unravel a chilling plot line.

Indie publishers, Phoenix Online Studios have today released an all-new trailer for their upcoming mystery title, Cognition: An Erica Reed Thriller. The classically styled point-and-click adventure game features a gorgeous cell-shaded design and what looks like an interesting mix of gameplay styles.

Cognition is a thought-provoking mystery following Erica Reed, a Boston-based FBI agent haunted by the unsolved case of a serial killer who took her brother’s life. Taking a turn for the strange, Erica investigates with the ability of post-cognition, sensing an object’s past with a mere touch. What unfolds is a much greater, much more complex and enigmatic mystery, as it becomes clear that someone knows her secret.

The trailer shows off sneaking and traditional point-and-click gameplay elements, as well as strong voice acting and stylish cut scenes. Cognition will be episodic, just like Phoenix Online’s Kings Quest fangame, The Silver Lining, which they’ve made available as freeware out of dedication to the adventure gaming genre.
